Felt coasters on a card?

Posted by Lena Nunn at 9:02 AM 5 comments

I used thoughts of father for this card (although its for my mom) . I colored it in with watercolor pencils ( this is my first time using them which explains alot). I also used a felt coaster I got from the Michaels one dollar bin . I cut the middle of it out and used it as a frame ( I know its kind of wavy but it adds to its vintage look I think). Next I added some primas that my friend Cassie gave me. This is the second time ive tried cutting these coasters to make a frame and I still cant get my lines straight. any suggestions?

day 108~ OH BOY!!!

Posted by Lena Nunn at 11:19 AM 7 comments

The challenge over at 365 cards is a masculine birthday card, but not for an adult :) I loved making this card for my friends son . The castle is one single brick that I just layered to make it a building. The dragon is embossed in gold and then colored in. The clouds are done by laying down a scallop from the scallop punch and sponging bashful blue around it . The door and flag are tonys creations

I made this card today for a friend of mine. I used the top note die and cut it once in white and once in black . I layered them and inked the edges with pacific point ( I swear one day Ill get sick of this color and move on but todays not the day and tommorows not looking good either ). Next I stamped the flowers using PP (of course) and the sentiment in basic black. The butterflies are a martha stewart punch. The corners are a Inkadinkado stamp. I did the border with the eyelet border punch. Hope you like Amanda!!

Thinking inside the box

This was a super fast card I did last night using Inspired By Nature. The image was stamped twice using old olive . Once directly on the card and another time on wisper white cardstock. I then Cut it out and matted it on pacific point cardstock. The saying is from Thoughts and Prayers. It was cut using the wide oval punch . The butterfly is a Martha Stewart Punch. This is also good for the grass challenge on 365 card blog.
