Ive been Scammed :(

Posted by Lena Nunn at 10:11 AM
How can some people be so cruel?  I just don't get it . Let me explain. I just got a cricut and I'm looking for cartridges for cheap since I am on a really tight budget.  I went to Splitcoast Stampers forums. Well I found a lady on the buy/sell/trade forum who wanted to do some trading of some of my stamps for some cricut cartridges. I was so excited because I had a bunch in my trade pile that she wanted and she had a bunch of cricut carts I wanted. She even had paper pups which is at the top of my wish list. So we agreed to trade stamps for 3 carts and then I pay paled her $20.00 for the paper pups . Well come to find out she was a scammer. She got my box of stamps and money and never sent a thing. She deleted her blog even. Well I can't just go out and spend the money on cartridges so now Im out the stamps, and the $20 not to mention the money it cost to ship the stamps to her priority. How can people scam other stampers? Thats like against the rules of the stampin sisterhood or something!!! I guess she did it to a couple people on there. ggrrrr.
Anyways I made this card last night for the SCS Sketch Challenge SC355. I recieved this adorable stamp from wish rak. . I paper pieced it with some paper I also got off Wish Rak!

Oh Lena, I am sad to hear that happened to you... :-(. BUT your card is super cute, I love the embossing in the background...

Big, big hugs!!! That is a really crummy thing to have happen to you, and I think we've all pretty much been there at one time or another.

One word though: KARMA!!

No one who does this kind of thing ever really gets "away with it", truly. It's maddening and discouraging for sure, but I know you'd rather be on the side you are on, rather than be her, right?? Makes you wonder how she can look at herself in the mirror...

I don't have a Cricut (bought a Slice instead as I thought I'd get more use of it for card making). They do look super cool though. Perhaps try eBay?? At least you have some protection there. And if you PayPaled the money, couldn't you file a claim at least for the $20?

Try to get past it, and continue to make gorgeous projects!!!!

Pal, I know that this is hard to deal with, but it seems like the people with the biggest hearts get scammed the most. i am so leery of the people offering things on the internet. But you would think that SCS would be a better place, like a place where you wouldn't have to worry about it.... so sad... i'm so sorry. Love you mucho and one day paper Pups will be yours!
