Cowboy Tiles

Posted by Lena Nunn at 10:00 PM
I'm posting this challenge from the road as I am on my way back from spending the weekend up in Lookout California. I was there visiting my brother , Sister in law , nephew and of course Tony who has been there working for them on their house for the past couple weeks. We had a blast while we we were there but now its back to work and back to posting cards and things. The challenge this week for FOSTV is to make anything but a card. I love the change of pace. Who doesn't love to make something different once in awhile? For the past couple weeks I have been hanging out at my parents house a lot since Tony has been gone and I am so sick of looking at their cheap free Coors light drink coasters a friend of theirs gave them I could scream, so it was time to pull out the tiles and the ink and stamps. I used the stamp set from Marks Finest Papers called Hey Cowboy ( hey its my favorite I can use it as many times I want so neiner neiner!). I brayed the tiles with Not quite nevy ink and then stamped the cowboy with stazon ink . I always spray over my tiles with a hairspray . One because it gives it a glossy sheen and two because I was told it helps seal it and three because Its never been proven to me that it doesn't do these things. I think it kind of looks like hes in a heavy snow storm haha. If you join us this week and make something besides a card you could win a great stamp set!

PS. Here is some pics from the weekend with my family

Yet to try stamping on tiles - must give it a go. Better than free cardboard coasters by miles!

Gorgeous pictures!!! The landscape is amazing!!! So glad you had fun family time! Your coaster is awesome! I tried making some coasters with DP last year and wasn't thrilled with how it turned out but this is so cute!!! I hadn't thought of it but you are right, it does kind of look like he is in a snowstorm!!! I love the way you write!!! You are so cute with your 1, 2, 3 (three because Its never been proven to me that it doesn't do these things)!!! :)
